Our goals for our small family farm are:
1. To raise safe food for our family, friends and community.
2. To expand your knowledge and understanding of both the animals and produce we raise as we continue to learn more as well.
3. To put to use what we have learned over the years by applying new, more efficient techniques to our gardening therefore allowing for larger production with less effort!

We are working hard to turn our love of animals and the joy of growing our own produce into a business on our small family farm.
Ron has always had a passion for horses. Several years ago, he turned his 'passion' into a 'profession' by graduating from the Minnesota School of Horseshoeing in Anoka, MN. Although he is no longer working as a ferrier, we do still have 2 horses here on the farm. Due to the request of the littles, we are consider adding to the mix in the future. Young animals are always a delight! |
Throughout the years we have had chickens on the farm as a source of eggs and meat for the family. This has come to include friends, neighbors, and surrounding community members as well.
Currently we have a small flock of cage-free Rhode Island Red laying hens as well as another cross breed that produce beautiful brown eggs. We pick eggs at least once per day and wash them by hand. If you have ever cracked open a store-bought egg and compared it to a farm fresh egg, you'll understand why so many people say there is "nothing like a farm fresh egg." We currently have plenty of eggs available for sale. If you are interested in purchasing some for your family, please call ahead or email us to let us know how many dozen you would like. Requests are filled in the order in which they were received. |
In addition to the horses and chickens, we also have a small herd of Pygora Goats. Pygora's are a registered cross breed that resulted from the small pygmy goat and angora goats resulted in beautiful fleece. This fleece can then be spun and dyed into beautiful soft yarn, perfect for all your knitting and crochet needs! (Yes my daughter and I love to crochet when we have time!) Head over to our goat page to learn more about this breed and the fleece they produce as well as all the fun we have with them! |
