We specialize in the growth of quality Pygora fleece.
About the Fiber: Pygoras have three types of fleeces, A, B and type C:
Type A: is a long, lustrous fiber averaging 6 + inches in length. It drapes in long lustrous ringlets.
"A" type is a single coat with no guard hair. The fiber is very fine mohair like, usually less than 28 microns.
Type B: is a blend of fibers with characteristics of both mohair type and cashmere type fleece. It is usually curly and
should average 3 to 6 inches in length. The fiber should test, on average below 24 microns.
Type C: Is a very fine fiber, usually below 18.5 microns and can be acceptable commercial cashmere. It is usually between 1 to 3 inches.
(The above information was taken from the Pygora Breeder's Association's {PBA} Breed Standard)
Only raw fleece available at this time. For pricing and availability information, please email Melissa at: [email protected]

Athena and Leo graced us with a litter of 8 puppies on Mother's Day this year! Two females and six males. All are doing beautifully and are ready to go to their new forever homes. AKC registered litter, vet checked and shots current.
If you have small livestock, these dogs could literally be a life saver on your farm. We have not lost a single one of our Pygora goats to predators since adding the Pyrs to our herd. We have personally witnessed the parents of these pups take down coyotes and we've had no problems with stray dogs since adding the Pyrs to our herd.
Please e-mail [email protected] if you are interested in a puppy from this year's litter. Serious inquiries only and no resellers please.

We also have a small flock of cage-free Rhode Island Red laying hens that produce beautiful brown eggs. We pick eggs at least once per day and wash them by hand. If you have ever cracked open a store-bought egg and compared it to a farm fresh egg, you'll understand why so many people say there is "nothing like a farm fresh egg." We do not have a rooster in with the hens so there is no chance of a fertilized egg.
Due to popular demand, we typically do not have eggs available immediately. Please call ahead or email to be placed on the list along with how many dozen you would like. Requests are filled in the order in which they were received.

Our goals for our small family farm are:
1. To raise safe food for our family, friends and community.
2. To care for the poultry we raise in the safest, most humane way we can.
3. To provide you, the consumer, with the absolutely best tasting poultry products you can imagine!
We take pride in how we raise our chickens and it shows. After just one meal, you'll wish you had tried farm direct sooner!
We raise a small flock of chickens in the spring and again in late summer. We charge $2.40 per pound (no giblets unless requested) for whole birds and $2.50 per pound for cut birds. Click here for a printable order form.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to stay in accordance within Federal and State laws, we are only able to sell our poultry products directly to the consumer (Minnesota residents only) and the consumer must pick up their product directly from the farm.

Why Farm Fresh?
1) No hormones, antibiotics or any other growth supplements.
2) Humanely raised in natural surroundings on a farm, not in a factory handled by dozens of people before it reaches you.
3) Much larger than grocery store chickens, averaging 6 lbs or more, dressed and freezer ready!
4) You can say you actually know where this meal came from and are supporting locally grown food at the same time!
We receive our birds as day old chicks straight from one of the most reputable hatcheries in the country. We intentionally raise smaller flocks at a time to reduce stress and increase freedom. The combination of a simple diet and humane conditions produces a happier, healthier chicken that will have exceptional taste when compared to store-bought chicken.

Welcome to Chivalry Timbers, located outside of McGregor, MN, owned and operated by Ron Rasmussen and family. We have turned our love of animals into a business on our small family farm.
Ron has always had a passion for horses. Several years ago, he turned his 'passion' into a 'profession' by graduating from the Minnesota School of Horseshoeing in Anoka, MN. Please visit his Farrier page for more information.
When searching for a passion of my own a few years ago (involving something a bit smaller than a horse), I discovered Pygora Goats and fell in love instantly! Check out my Goat page to see how much fun and addicting they have turned out to be!
Ron and I ventured into Chickens a few years ago as a source of eggs and meat for the family. This has now evolved into providing locally grown poultry products to friends, neighbors, and surrounding community members as well. Visit our Poultry page for more information on our Farm Fresh Eggs and Meat Birds.
